Oklahoma!

I finally got Spencer to go on a road trip. And a road trip it was! 8 days, 40 + hours of driving, 3000 miles, 7 states! He didn't think he could do it, but we ended up really having fun! We started on the road with my parents and went through Wyoming to Nebraska and stayed with my Aunt Cynthia. She is so much fun and reminds me of my Grandma Lorita! Then on the road again, we finished going through Nebraska, went through Kansas, to Oklahoma to our condos that night. The next day we met up with Larry. A guy that Spencer spent a lot of time with on his mission. Larry took us to the old Coleman Theater. It is supposed to be haunted. Anyways, it was really awesome and old fashioned. Something you would imagine in Phantom of the Opera. We did some more site seeing that day and the next. My dad and Spencer went fishing. Spencer didn't get anything, but my dad got 2 fish. Then we went to Oklahoma city to the temple. It is a very small temple but was just as beautiful as the next. That afternoon, we made it to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Meg and Pat were waiting for us outside of their apartment. Meg really missed Spencer. The whole time she just wanted to wrestle with him. She even asked me if she could sleep with him, I could sleep on the floor. We stayed with them for a day and a half. We went to a museum on the base, went swimming, and ate at what looked like an old run down building in the middle of nowhere called Meers. They had great burgers made from longhorn beef. It was really fun. We miss Jared, Pat, and the girls and can't wait for them to come back to Idaho! The last 2 days of the journey were homeward bound. We stayed the night in Monticello, UT. They also have a really small temple, which was surprising because the town is so small. We didn't go cause it was late but I love to look at the temples. We made it home exhausted but glad for the experience. It was fun to go with my parents. They are quite the pair and made the trip that much more fun!

Our Christmas News

Yes we are having a baby! Our bundle of joy is coming July 5th. We are really excited and nervous to be parents! It is crazy how much this little one is already affecting our lives. Spencer is dead sure that we are having a little girl. I kind of think it is a boy. I guess we will have to wait and see. We will find out in about 7-8 weeks.
It was fun surprising our family and oh boy were they surprised! Grandma Rosy's mouth was wide open and Grandpa Lloyd couldn't believe it. There have also been a couple of other surprises. Mitch, my brother, and is wife are having a little girl. They are due at the end of May. Then Tim, Spencer's brother, and his wife are having a baby. Their due date is 2 weeks after our own. Crazy! Cousins by the dozens! We are so excited for them! This Christmas has really brought some great news for the new year!

Hunting

Hunting? That's right! Spencer finally got me to go with him. We went to Moonstone Mountain. It was cold but I was prepared. I had on many layers. We got up early and hiked up the mountain. I think I did pretty good keeping up with Mr. long legs (even if he was probably going slower for me). We hiked all morning; I was wore out. Sadly we only seen a couple does. It was fun anyways; spending time with Spencer.

I love you!

After a long week of school and work, I came home to find these beautiful flowers sitting on the table with a note saying I love you! As I get so caught up in my daily routine, it is wonderful to be reminded that I am loved, to know that when the day is over I can go home and snuggle up to that special someone. Thanks Spencer for being such a great husband! You are so great to listen to me complain about my day, cry on your shoulder, or make me laugh when I am down. Thanks for rubbing my back and tucking me in bed when I am sick. I love you and can't wait to grow old with you!

There is no one else I would rather spend forever with! I love you!

Ryan's Farewell weekend

I was so excited to go somewhere this weekend and even more excited to see some of my extended family. Spencer was able to get work off for a day and a half, so we made our way to Utah. We had to stop along the way at Smith & Edwards, just like Grandpa Newt. It is a fun store. They have everything... if you can find it!
My great-grandma lives in Bountiful. We were able to go visit her too. I really miss her when I think about how I used to go to her house all the time in Grace. We would read books, play Skip-bo, and eat cookies. We are buddies! She reminds me of why I am so short. Gotta love Grandma Fern!
Hanging out with the cousins was a blast. I don't think I have laughed so much in a long time. We stayed up late just talking, laughing, and hanging out.
Then for the main event... Ryan's farewell. He is going on a mission to Peru. He did very well on his talk. What a stud. I told him to tell the ladies that he is off the market for 2 years. I am sure he has a lot waiting for his return.
Overall it was a great weekend. We got to see aunts, uncles, and cousins that we don't normally get to see. I love them all!
Dang spencer wouldn't get in the picture :)
