So Blessed

Tonight while checking on my baby before going to bed, I just had to pick him up and rock him in the chair. I realized that my little boy is growing up. Yeah I know that he is still a baby, but it seems he went from 7 pounds to 17 pounds way to quickly. I sure do love that little boy and am overwhelmed by gratitude to my Heavenly Father that he would bless me and trust me to take care of one of his children. I have a wonderful husband. I am grateful that he works so hard, honors his priesthood, and takes time to love his family and be a father. I am grateful for the gospel and the blessings that it brings. I love that I have the knowledge that my family can be together forever! Truly I am so blessed!

6 months

My baby is 6 months old today! I can hardly believe it! What a joy he is in our lives! This little man loves to chow down his food, hates it when you walk out of the room, loves to stand, hates to be on his stomach, and loves to smile! And we love him!

Finishing 2011

2011 has been a very eventful year! We have been very blessed. One of our greatest blessing of 2011 was having Porter. He is such a special little guy, who makes us very happy. He is smiling all the time and keeps us laughing! Spencer and I are constantly saying to each other, "he is the cutest little boy ever!" We love him so much!

Also another blessing and big event. I finished the nursing program. Two years of hard work ended successfully. I was glad to get to know those in my classes and the teachers who helped me reach my goals. Although I want to continue my schooling, this is a huge milestone. Thanks to all my family and friends who helped me make it through.

We ended the year with a wonderful Christmas. We had a little party with the Hughes clan, then went to Grace for Christmas eve. It is so much fun to be with family, eat food, give gifts, and celebrate the holidays!

We are grateful for our Savior and our families! Time to bring in 2012 and make those resolutions. Happy New Year!

Christmas Time

Christmas time is here! I can't believe it has come so fast. I have been looking forward to this month for a long time. I am so excited to have Christmas with my little boy. He won't know what is going on, but it is going to be fun!  I love spending time with family and Christmas brings us all together. An added Christmas present this year... I am graduating from the nursing program. I can honestly say graduating now as I just passed my last test today! Just a few more things to get done. Can't wait!

Oh deer!

Spencer finally shot his deer. It was a whopping 3x4! I guess you know what we will be eating this winter. I was glad that he got it and I was thinking that he was done hunting for the season, but think again. A week later he wanted to attempt bear hunting and he took me with him. I have to admit I was a bit nervous. We went to a place where he heard there was a couple of bears. We seen a couple caves and lots of bear poop, but no bear. I may have been just a little relieved, sorry Spencer. It was fun spending time together anyways.

Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the colors, pumpkins, decorations, weather, and pumpkin chocolate cookies! Mmmm... Enjoy!
