Still waiting...

Still waiting for Baby Porter... I have exactly one week left today till due date, but it feels like I have been waiting forever. 9 months seems like such a long time. I am hoping that he comes July 1st (if I can wait that long). This is a time when you can say great things are worth waiting for...

Anticipation...

It feels like our little one will never get here. I know that I still have two weeks till due date, but I really am ready and as anxious as ever. In anticipation of our boy we have been staying busy, which helps time go by fast. Here are just some of the things we have been up to.

WICKED

Some of us girls had the opportunity to go to the play Wicked. It is such a great play I would go again and again. We ended the night with some Olive Garden. We has so much fun!

Mothers Day
I have such a great mom! She is my best friend! She is full of good advice and is always there to help me. Seriously she is so great that all of her kids fight for her spare time. I hope that I can be a mother just like her. I also have a great mother-in-law. She is so kind, patient, and loving. She is always checking on me and taking care of me. I am so blessed!

Memorial weekend

Memorial weekend I went home to spend time with my family and the McNeil cousins. Look at all those cousins (mostly girls) and thats not all of them. It was a rainy weekend, but that didn't stop them from riding four-wheelers and the rhino. I remember when I was little, playing with my cousins was the best. We would ride, run around outside, and hike the mountain. Now we are growing up but it is fun to watch the younger cousins have some of the same experiences.

Baby showers

Shelly, me, Brandy S, Brandy Jo
I have been really spoiled in getting ready for this baby! My friends from the nursing program threw a baby shower for me and I got tons of stuff! Also my in-laws threw me a baby shower where I was equally was spoiled. Both showers were so much fun and really make me excited to get our little man. Thanks girls!

Family Reunion

For the Hughes reunion 2011, we went to island park and stayed in a bunk house. It was fun seeing everyone's expressions as they saw one big room full of beds. They went swimming in freezing cold water and played water volleyball. It was fun to watch. Some went fishing and brought back some pretty big fish. Also one day we went to West Yellowstone and drove through the park, but I do have to say it was better when we got to do a little shopping. We had a great time hanging out and eating lots of food.

Fathers Day

I have an awesome father! I love him so much. He truly knows how to take care of and sacrifice for his family. I am so lucky. I remember hanging out with him on the farm or going out see him in the shop at the high school. He is great! I also have a wonderful father-in-law! He is so funny and keeps us all laughing. He also really knows how to spoil me! I am so excited for Spencer to be a dad. He honestly will be so great! I love watching him play with his neices, nephews, and kids in nursery. Kids love him! Spencer is such a hard worker. I know that he will do such a good job taking care of his little family! Can't wait to see him holding our little man for the first time! Love you Spenc!

We have been kept busy and are still waiting hopefully it won't be much longer!

Schools Out for Summer!

I am so excited that I get to put the books on the shelves for a little while. I finished up my third semester of nursing. I remember how nervous I was to start third semester being pregnant, especially since the word was that third semester is supposed to be the hardest of them all. I made it through with good grades and am actually pretty proud of myself. Now it is time to get our little man here. I seriously can't wait!

Oklahoma!

I finally got Spencer to go on a road trip. And a road trip it was! 8 days, 40 + hours of driving, 3000 miles, 7 states! He didn't think he could do it, but we ended up really having fun! We started on the road with my parents and went through Wyoming to Nebraska and stayed with my Aunt Cynthia. She is so much fun and reminds me of my Grandma Lorita! Then on the road again, we finished going through Nebraska, went through Kansas, to Oklahoma to our condos that night. The next day we met up with Larry. A guy that Spencer spent a lot of time with on his mission. Larry took us to the old Coleman Theater. It is supposed to be haunted. Anyways, it was really awesome and old fashioned. Something you would imagine in Phantom of the Opera. We did some more site seeing that day and the next. My dad and Spencer went fishing. Spencer didn't get anything, but my dad got 2 fish. Then we went to Oklahoma city to the temple. It is a very small temple but was just as beautiful as the next. That afternoon, we made it to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Meg and Pat were waiting for us outside of their apartment. Meg really missed Spencer. The whole time she just wanted to wrestle with him. She even asked me if she could sleep with him, I could sleep on the floor. We stayed with them for a day and a half. We went to a museum on the base, went swimming, and ate at what looked like an old run down building in the middle of nowhere called Meers. They had great burgers made from longhorn beef. It was really fun. We miss Jared, Pat, and the girls and can't wait for them to come back to Idaho! The last 2 days of the journey were homeward bound. We stayed the night in Monticello, UT. They also have a really small temple, which was surprising because the town is so small. We didn't go cause it was late but I love to look at the temples. We made it home exhausted but glad for the experience. It was fun to go with my parents. They are quite the pair and made the trip that much more fun!

Our Christmas News

Yes we are having a baby! Our bundle of joy is coming July 5th. We are really excited and nervous to be parents! It is crazy how much this little one is already affecting our lives. Spencer is dead sure that we are having a little girl. I kind of think it is a boy. I guess we will have to wait and see. We will find out in about 7-8 weeks.
It was fun surprising our family and oh boy were they surprised! Grandma Rosy's mouth was wide open and Grandpa Lloyd couldn't believe it. There have also been a couple of other surprises. Mitch, my brother, and is wife are having a little girl. They are due at the end of May. Then Tim, Spencer's brother, and his wife are having a baby. Their due date is 2 weeks after our own. Crazy! Cousins by the dozens! We are so excited for them! This Christmas has really brought some great news for the new year!

Hunting

Hunting? That's right! Spencer finally got me to go with him. We went to Moonstone Mountain. It was cold but I was prepared. I had on many layers. We got up early and hiked up the mountain. I think I did pretty good keeping up with Mr. long legs (even if he was probably going slower for me). We hiked all morning; I was wore out. Sadly we only seen a couple does. It was fun anyways; spending time with Spencer.
